Well you could build some homes and get it from your peasants and workers or you could build some gold mines.

Oh yeah and either way investing into banking will help out.

If you have them, homes are the overall best option for producing gold. Gold mines are often used by people during protection, since they work at full effectiveness immediately, whereas homes need to fill up first, and at the beginning population grows slowly, since it's based on current population.

strange. i do all three.

build home invest and build gold mines.

works better than doing one sort.

+ the ppl your beeting fit in to several groups.

those that cant play, but have been trying for years to learn.
those that dont try.
and last.
those that just say they have been playing for years. but infact have not.

Win the silly EXP ranking perhaps :P

Build Homes and fill them up with lots or Workers. High Banking and Housing improvements are also vital.

Not too much chance of winning experiece with that either, since you wouldn't be able to make enough forces to attack anyone. And heroes would die. And peasants would probably starve away... But other than those little details.

But wouldn't having some gold mines be helpful if you have a loss of peasents?

It's best that you not lose those peasents by having better defense to begin with. The fact is, Homes can easily out produce Gold Mines. This is especially true after you factor in workers and the room required for your troops goes up.
