the thread means who were you realm 6. jk. ;)

i was stereo hearts#3

decided to go for a race that i havent played yet.

ive made a risky oop start for this round keeping low dp on my first wave.
i kept in a decent lands and became the top human after oop. good thing the risky start paid off.

on my 2nd push, i managed to make huge op, but i couldnt send for a while since #32 vamp made a huge spec push and will probably hit me if i send out. so i just made 2 safe hits. afterwards seeing him just sac his bats, we made a CQ hit on animator.

on my 3rd push i again made a hit on the animator, and another making myself in a very good position.

on my 4th push i have with me yolanda and moki, decided to go after #27 gryph, hopefully cathing him with a tav spec push. he made a nice save by training spec dp, so we decided to get #34 instead.we made a war CQ against the vamp, i was retalled by the elemental in which afterwards i retalled back.

i landed in top spot, which gives the dilemma of continuing with attack or just explore, at first I decided to go attack and propped to get again roB and moki. after a while we saw that getting a target will be hard since we do not have manpower to trade hits with 27. we then decided its better to get exploring since we expect to land around 3700 lands, in which our competitors will have a hard time catching.

I would like to congratulate #27 ringo for the land win and #17 marily for the xp win.

btw, i wonder who is behind the vamp lastround#16, who made an extra effort of making huge tavs just to mess with our realm?

Ringo Starr #27

I think the RFM i woke up to this morning sums it up:
The Royal Family's Message
Congratulations Dante! You got by with a little help from your friends.

So thanks to my realmies for giving me the win! That B went mages in the end proved crucial as it enabled me to keep a decent def when going for the win with my early CQ on dB. After dB sent i got some ops on him but i had no one on for war and hadnt wasted dust to get a FS and calc him properly. I was actually leaning towards making a safe hit in #17 before B got me the ops on dB. With an abbrasion i'd be able to leave a decent def (278 i believe). We waited a few hrs so i could get my def in and dBs shield could wear off a bit and then went early in the tick since i didnt trust dB to really sleep (although he prolly was).

Big thanks to tundra and valg as well for providing crucial cover and calcing threats. We pulled through as a team effort.

Tundra was SOOO trying to warn me about that. He kept telling me i should train max def. But i was greedy and didnt wanna train more than i felt was needed, so i trained enough to defend you if you'd have trained def with your lumber stock. I figured you'd have safer and easier targets in 34 and no need to go for somewhat shaky def and mass specs to hit me. When you didnt train any LBs on your push i knew you were gunning for me and had to train a few thousand specs - too bad i didnt listen to tundra instead and train elites a bit earlier..

In general this round was a bit different than many recent rounds in that there was most of the time not one clear cut top op but rather multiple kingdoms which balanced each other out. To be honest i felt it was a bit stale, it is more fun with huge top ops. Nicely played by #6, #34 and #11 anyway, it was good to see we had 5 realms with a good chance to win when a few days was left of the round.

Congratulations to the winner of xp as well! It seemed to me #17 was doing well in xp most of the round since they were such big feeders to us land players.

Hungry #6

After last round we didn't want to put any commitment to the round and it showed. I didn't calc anything but the top op a few times and not even that for the last few weeks. Pretty surprising that I stayed alive as long as I did.

Boring end round, we didn't even notice that Dante had cq'd until after he had gotten land in, and well then it was basically game over. I got into a position to cq #34/#11 ftw anyway in case they sent, but as expected, no one did.

Grats Dante, well deserved.

John Lennon[#27]

I wanted to play Tollspry because I wanted to get acquainted with how they work. I also thought that they could do well in a short round like this, but I was wrong :) At least if you want to imp, you need a longer round.

The thing is that I discovered that way too late. After that I thought it could be good to Tav up asap, but by then I was already through 2 post OOP pushes where I only built Homes. I am not even sure though that Tavs would have been better than pure Homes, so in the end I was doomed to fail anyway :)

In the last 10 days I got (unexpectedly) extremely busy. I decided to become mager: full push Harmonizers, upgrade all the way to Emitter, r/r plenty Homes to Tavs and then sack a lot of Emitters to Knolls. I was keeping 326k def on very low land after the conversion which I thought was enough until the end of the round.

I didn't do very much as mager, also due to inactivity, but I am glad that one the few things I did was a key moment in the round. The abrasion + ops on NZT [#22] (sorry bro) made Dante able to make a huge CQ on him and explore the round out.

Congrats to Dante for the win and to my the other packmates for the round as a whole (the 3 of you together actually did it for the biggest part of the round) and to the XP winner, whoever it might be :)

Grats Dante!

I was Bonkers #6

Like Ceek mentioned zero commitments this round since we were all burned out from playing sylv, and i proved it right at oop by having 10 min to attack before land got in and hit some troll. Didnt even notice we were in war(boy were i suprised when i got 70acres) with the guys and got hit three times^^.

just bfed whenever i could find a RL window which wasnt often at all and in the end I was just a waste of space.

Which probably means this is my last round, not that I'm not enjoying the game but don't have the time to play at the level i want to.

Congrats Dante!

Hide yo wife #25

I had a decent OOP and got a little greedy with my first stock and was hit for ~50 land. Managed to bottom feed well, but made a bad send and was punished for it. It wasnt totally out of the race just yet, so luck could have put me back into position so I continued to bottom feed. I managed to climb back up but made another poor decision to attack and was double tapped. My round was over from there so I focused on other things and watched everyone else. =)

the Ancient Mariner[# 13]

By the end of the first week, it was pretty obivous that are whole realm was behind by all metrics (#27 Gryphons had more: resource production, military, land and imps). We decided to go ultra high imps, and maybe have a shot of BFing FTW (I had the equivilent of 750 dms).

#34 officially took out Mic/NG

At week 2.5, Paul McCartney[# 27] officially took me out of the game... This irritated me because: we weren't the main competition and Castle[#34] was on 300 more land and less defense. (It was probably a blessing in that I no longer had any reason to be active anymore).

After this, our realm goal was too try to suicide either 34 or 27 without giving acres to the other realm...

I dont recall that hit at all, but i would guess the reason was #34 had pretty good retal power which you guys lacked.

Paul McCartney

It may have been overly cautious to hit you instead of Castle, but he didn't have less defense. He had at least 5k more and our relic gave me an 1% more bonus against good than evil. Mainly we thought 34 might sui retal and I didn't need to risk it at that point. Maybe not, but they did retal the human later on.

So you wanted to hit people in contention out of spite? Sorry you took my legitimate hit so poorly. You can see why I hit you and not somebody that could retal.

Congrats to Dante! His second win has been a long time coming. Congrats to the xp winner as well.

BTW, well played Hiraishin. Almost had back to back wins.

I was Undecided One of realm 26

at the end I was working on a land push to see if I could make a decent ending round. When one of my realmies said we ended up in second in land I was surprised. but it was still a realm effort after all. And 5th in strength is was also amazing to me.

EDIT: sorry forgot to mention congrats to the xp and land winners, ^_^

I was touch of Sin in realm 18. As always i had a good round until the last week when all the damn mino's and trolls caught up to me. I really need a tutor for the last week of a round. Congrats to the wiener in realm 17 and who ever the land winner was. Saw the reverse of that comment in here earlier and it made me laugh. I play xp and never even bother to see who is doing what in land play. Atleast i got to see my name on the home page for the first time that was nice. Thanks to my realmies for being fun to play with as always.

Obviously we are disappointed with r22 giving massive land to Dante, and for 9hrs no one want to suicide Dante.. :P

At least, we give our best shot for the win..

Congrats to all winners.. we will be back.

Hitting me was a very safe legitimate hit. I do not have a problem with you hitting me, but I was just very surprised. I was expecting your realm to runaway, but you always played it safe.

I will take your word on Castle's dp. I can't remember his, but mine was 132k. 300 ld difference is a 78 acre swing in land gains. IMO, that was worth sending +5k. You had 14k+ in potential worker OP, you could have probably found someone even better than castle.

And retaling 27/34 is not out of spite, it's meta-gaming... If you hit our realm, we will try our best to retal all hits (assuming this will not cost a realmate the win).

KenderKillerx666: Elementals have very expensive DP, I would imagine they would suck very much at XP. Making your name on the home page with them seems like quite the accomplishment with them.
