5 Phase Rule

This rule is a General guideline for New players to know that what they should do at different period along the round.

Applicated Races: Standard, normal
Applicated Round length: 5 Weeks as standard (However, it is still can be guideline for other round length)

Divide the round into 5 phase, each phase length equal to round length / 5.

1st Phase:
Try to max direct production building which is required by military price, like GM instead of house. Spec push. Max landgained. Bottomfeed at this stage is fine.

2nd Phase:
Start house and elite, stop pushing specs, start with 30% Dms. Max landgained. Bottomfeed at this stage is fine.

3rd Phase:
Maximum DMS and imps, sacrifice specs, Bottomfeed at this stage is not encouraged.

4th Phase:
Start rezone dms to house or alchemis, slow down the imps, Maximum econ. Bottomfeed at this stage is not encouraged.

5th Phase:
Start to stock up lumber for tav push. Push tav and specs at last 4 days.

However, this guideline still is a guideline, there is still many different strategy for different races still can be used and grows better without follow this guide.

Winning Rule
This is a guideline that stated the minimum rank u should have for your race at midround (normally take account on day 14) if u wishes to shoot for win.

1st Category: Top 5
This category is for Superb fast races, for example: Vampire, Amazon, dwarf, Terraroid, Nymph

2nd Category: Top 15
This categories is for normal slower races, for example Troll, Orc, Leshkin, flameweaver, Human, Shinobi, Elf, elemental, Gryphon, Sylvan, Undead, Goblin,

3rd Category: Top 50
This category is for slow races with special late game ability, for example ilith, coven (depends strategy used).

With the 150% max send rule, the rank needed at midround is comparative higher if want to win, this is because nowadays top kingdom not easy to be suicide.
However, it is still a guideline and still has special exception sometime.

The guideline above is generated by referring statistic from previous 13 rounds record.

Top 15? Not to high?

Are you implying that if you are 15-20 two weeks into the round as human it will impossible to win?

Goblin is a "slow" race?

I still want to see the "Wonder Guide" in its full, comprehensive glory! 8)

Edit: I also would not consider Gryphon "slow." It is hard to characterize the race, but if you had to type-cast, it's "fast" more than "slow."

I changed "slow" to "slower". ;)

About the wonder guide, i leave the decision on creator.

Not impossible, just damn hard, and so far for previous 13 rounds, non of winner race was more than top 15 at day 14, except ilith and coven.

I'm not sure if ilith should be considered so different from for instance flameweaver, troll or shinobi tbh. I would say that with those slow races, and especially if played very slow, top15 is not a requirement at all.

Basing judgment on the last 13 rounds doesnt say a whole lot about those races anyway, since then we might as well say that those races cannot win (ie, they havent won any of the last 13 races and therefore they cannot win).

But i think that over all it looks like interesting information that certainly should be helpful to some of the newer players anyway!

I still think both Goblin and Gryphon are better classified as "fast" than "slow." Also, I think it'd be very difficult for either race to win if they are not in top 5-6 halfway through the round. I know CLWK has done it with Gryphon, but that round (and the round before that) was an exceptionally strange round.

As for the "Wonder Guide," I thought you were the creator?

Troll is fast, like medium fast. But slow too. Troll is flexible, final answer.

Also, Goblin should be categorized the same as Terranoid - Long sits on the top end of the rankings. And I agree with MBarca and whoever else said Gryphon are FAST!

I also vote to see the Wonderguide!

Dont just focus on the speed of races are fast or slower, focus on the category they in, troll, gryphon and goblin dont need to be at top 5 at day 14 for win shoot, but need top 15, for this reason, i rate them as not fast enough to join 1st categories, normally 1st categories not only need to be top 5, if can, they even need to runaway !

I still don't agree with you. I just don't see how a Gryphon or Goblin at #15 mid-way in the round can win in a normal round.

LSD, clwk and popcorn did it. Please check their won round at hr 336. The guideline above generated by referring previous 13 rounds records.

Hour 336 is NOT mid-round in 5-6 weekers. And I've already said CLWK's win was abnormal, and the result of an ungodly number of suicides among the fast races early on.

Here's where LSD and Popcorn were at at the true mid-point of their Gryphon/Goblin rounds:

10 Where Am I? Gryphon 78 2,288 [?]
2 Duck Hunt Goblin 30 2,192 [?]

Edit:

And you are wrong about Popcorn even at hour 336 point:

12 Duck Hunt Goblin 30 1,519 [?]

Taking snapshots from a set gametime is a failure in itself - The fastest races have to be played with long sits inbetween attacking sprees to let people catch up to your size - you can't just check a kingdom from a particular game time and assume anything from the current position.

You should, in fact, follow the kingdom's rankings through one or two clear attacking sprees and check how high the kingdom is *after* those attacking sprees. Pop grabbed himself to first or second with each and every one of those pushes as gobbo, with only YF beating his land size with another gobbo.
