I prefer the spell stay non-war spell with MD cost of 10-15x landsize. Anyway, we still can make it as war spell with cheaper MD cost. No, no! Please keep it as a non-war spell. War-only spells are bs, I even think that all the current ones should be demoted to non-war. Let's phase-out the war-only crap in new races!

MisterBarca wrote: A real stupid question: How much is a Diamond worth in gold terms?
I ask because I am trying to compare the race I created with Frostzorbs: They share some similar stats, but I have a hard time grasping how much such Diamond-heavy units are worth in gold-terms. Also, how much is an Iron Ore worth in gold terms while we are at it?
Thanks in advance. Conversion of Gold to other resourcesGold Mine as reference. 1 Gold to 1.92 Lumber 1 Gold to 1.83 Iron 1 Gold to 1.67 Food 1 Magic Dust to 1.2 golds 1 Dms to 6 golds 1 Runes to 20000 golds (imps as reference) Anyway, the conversion above is just a draft reference, conversion price will change around due to any resource bonus or the chance to get the resources. Change LogAdd suggestion of Magic Dust cost needed for Tornado (12x) and Rainfall (1x)

Who will pay 12000md at a chance to destroy 10 buildings? I guess mage whores would. In that case, it should be hard to hard to successfully cast it, like "kill workers in training" (which is HARD to succeed at!).
I love this race =)

I love this race =) . You are right, "Tornado" spell is created for Mage whore, not for land attacker. I hope the effect of this spell wont be scaled down due to landsize difference between target and caster , if yes, the magic dust cost of spell should be reduced then.

I've already told Immor privately when he asked me via MSN, but for the record: I really like this race, too.
Again, any race that encourages people to attack and discourage them from sitting on their asses is a good thing.
And as I told Immor, the only thing that initially worried me was the fact that it's difficult to get a handle on the unit prices, because it does not use gold as primary income.

MBarca, if you want to make a race an attacking race, make their defense inefficient. That forces them to make short sits. This race has a 10 point defender, which means they can make long sits. They dont need to mass defense to keep up with top op. Aka - it doesnt hurt their economy too much to train defense. Thats what makes Dwarf a "fast race," because it must gain a land advantage to house its defense. Then it must continue to have that lead. Look at Sylvan, Shinobi, Flameweaver. All have efficient defense, all have strong "slow play" strategies.

Kudos to this race suggestion! Really, the motivation to attack is something new and really inspiring stuff. Nice to see that quite a lot of new players to the game come with fresh and original ideas as well. I would agree with wilan that the names of the units can be modified a bit though.

Self Promoter!
This race has much less going on and works as a whole.

False, I do not post to get attention. I post because I want to. Also, I think you are nearing as many, if not a little less posts/day than me!

I just looked at this race and it looks well balanced.
Great concept to see an all diamond race.
As of right now this race has the best concept and most balanced I seen on these boards and I would vote for it.
