Oh, right right. I got the two mixed up. I should go back to the first idea then?

I think it makes much more sense to have conversions based off of how many AS you send, such as "x% of AS casualties" or "x of AS convert y% of dead troops on the battlefield" or something.

But at the same time, you want your race to be unique from Shinobi and every other race. You could base the conversions off of peasants. The only time I think this is done is in the case of slave capturing. So, since you don't have slave pits, you could use the same mechanism to capture peasants and turn them into FOs.

At any rate, you want your race to be unique in some way to every other race ever played.

Haha, no. But I just translated the animal I wanted to base the race on into like 15 different languages. I thought that one looked cool :P

bookwork:

-no troops can take longer than 12 hours to train.
-change your spell costs to all be relative to your current land. land*4 and land*15

concerns:

-Roes are too cheap. use goblin grunts as a reference:
Grunt 4.0 12.0 9.0 160 610g
Roes should cost ~650 to 700 gold most likely due to lower casualties and return times.

Numbers:

-Freed Ones are tricky. In 5 weeks, 10k Freed ones is reasonable. that produces 4500l, 4500r, 3000fd, 2000d, 2000md, -28000g. That is equivalent to 40 iron mines, 40 sawmills, 30 farms, 200 diamond mines, 40 towers. it takes 444 homes (over production buildings) to produce the lost 28000 gold due to taking up population space. currently u have 350 buildings that are replaced. so you lose 94 buildings in return for 25000 extra op (unless you are sending them constantly, in which case 10k might not be reachable). regardless i figure that isnt too bad.

Right, right. I realized that about the training but forgot to edit it. Then about the Freed Ones, should I give their production a boost? Or do I edit their whole concept?

I also have another race that i've set up (yet to be posted), could you take a look at it?

sure go ahead and PM me your race and/or talk to me on msn galaxyandrw@hotmail.com (msn is my preferred mode of communication)

i think that as is they are fine. the diamond production makes them very strong early. and will allow you to convert out of DMs earlier since you would have diamond production still. your elite units may be a little inexpensive with your pop bonus, but they are reasonable enough for me (the admins would make changes as they see fit to costs and whatnot anyway)

233 gold/point for a 5 pt attacker.

That unit better be immortal and accompanied by several naked cheerleaders.
