What an idiot. Says who? It's pretty clear he was only using this as an example of potential abuses.

The difference gotten from trading shakos for boots of teleportation is 45k. Let's assume 42 day round. OMFG +1.9m free gold WTF HAX. I can get more gold from a +.5% gold bonus... someone's multi wrote: And play a round, if you manage to 125 iron gloves in a single round, let me know.

Maybe you should read what you say in your own posts, idiot. You were giving the worse case scenario and it was WRONG. But you feel that you are better than me and thus need to make yourself look big and bad. Bite me.
And play a round, if you manage to 125 iron gloves in a single round, let me know.
What an idiot. i think that making each person trade would be better but i still think it is abusable, but in order to prove that i would need a list of all the items and their bonuses and i don't feel like looking for them.

Not to mention that the suggestion is just not that good anyways. It is on par with being able to "trade" heroes. These are luck-based elements. Get over it already, wilan.

Well I know there is a few items that give extra XP, and this got me "cheating the odds" in a way for people. But, this game is very much team based. I like what Striker suggested about a realm "pool" where you may choose an item. But how about the item then requires one extra level to wear, and may not be sold for any money after entering the pool?

The only way this suggestion can be abusable is that it ensures that no one can get too bad of luck. If you suggest that you can get massive amount of gold by stockpiling items, I suggest you do the calculations. Keep in mind the current game structure allows for the following abuses:
1. Relic whore - +5% pop, +10% gold, +10% op, -10% corruption, or -30% casualties bonus COMPLETELY FREE OF CHARGE 2. Realm imps - 4 people invest into realm, you do nothing --> +50% diamond production. 3. Sharing Ops --> Free magic dust/spy power
The reason why I believe this suggestion is justified because it makes questing more fun. Take the following example:
1. A newb incorrectly adds his points. Then he gets beaten up after every quest. Now if you gave him a sword and some equip, he will no longer get beaten up every round. 2. Being within 2 standard deviations of average equipment, one can find him/herself with insufficient inventory at level x. Then he/she is forced to put more points into non int attributes decreasing chances to find inventories. This leads to getting beaten up.
Also, the chest of shades is a phenomenal item for dark elves. Boots of teleportation are even better for exp play. What's the point if only SOME people own these items. If items were sharable everyone would get a better stab at the bonus.

I'm bored. I'll do the calculations for you.
It is true that an exp player will get more items on a per round basis BUT an exp player does not contribute much to realm imp and therefore contributes a net loss by transferring items rather than investing up.
5 week round. One player usually receive 200 runes. Of the 200 runes, probably 75 of those are items. So 15 item per player. And since you need 5 items for yourself, there is a potential transfer of 10 items. Usually, these 10 items are like common items worth an average of 2000 gold. 10 items is 20,000 and 5 players worth is 100,000. Yes abusable...

I have never gotten so few items for a full round. and if there is one thing i am it is definitely average.

I think it would be a nice idea actually, if a traded item could be only sold for 0 gold and a level higher would be needed to operate it.
This does make point distribution much more flexible since you are technically increasing you luck with items. And incorporates more teamwork. I mean, hey, if everyone has it available, then why not? The level increase would be to prevent immediate abuse and help benefit those that get it first... uhmmm yeah haha

bump How about instead of being able to sell items it could be possible to spend money to move an item into REALM STASH, where your realmies can buy the items. Code: Boots Type: Boots Armor: 1 Rarity: Common Level Requirement: 1 Value: 500 Gold Description: Boots are normally hand-made by cobblers. Common boots are made by using a form, but good boots are designed for the foot of an individual. This item, maybe I get like three of those on my first level. The 500 gold is just pointless, but what if it was possible to spend like 25k gold and move it to REALM STASH. The realmie that wants it would need to spend 25k gold also. Perhaps a realmie with no boots and three weapons. Code: Boots of Teleportation Type: Boots Armor: 5 Rarity: Unique Bonus 1: 1h less return time for troops Stamina Requirement: 20 Level Requirement: 11 Value: 35000 Gold Description: Some powerful boots which can teleport all your troops but you have to run so you better have good stamina. This item is tricky, since it is quite powerful, like many other items. So we would need to make moving this item to realm stash at a cost of like 700k gold for the enabler and the receiver. We would need to balance as much as possible all the 96 items. http://www.elveron.com/elveron/game/cla ... item_id=96Just change the number 96 to something below and you can see the items. We could also make it possible that an item can change owner only once, but personally I think working on some balancing issues in terms of cost per transaction is a good way to not make this overpowered.

Seems kinda complicated. It harms the person that helps the realm.
Make it simpler: All sold items go into realm armory. Items can be bought from the armory for X times the sold price.
X would be based on item rarity, with unique items having a very high cost of around 25 (and maybe common items as low as 5).

What an odd way of looking at it. Helping another quite often harms yourself. I do a bunch of spy ops for realmies instead of stealing resources.

You are so generous Kalle ^_^
As long as it is balanced, I think it would be a great idea. I vote to make Boots of Teleportation 1 million to place in realm and 4 million to buy. Maybe even more expensive...

What an odd way of looking at it. Helping another quite often harms yourself. I do a bunch of spy ops for realmies instead of stealing resources. The amount lost in potential stolen resources is small, if it was a choice of kidnap or spy ops, the choice would be much harder. Helping another KD find targets does little harm to you. Realm IMPs work on a different concept. It's a prisoners dilemma, the maximum gain for all is to invest equally in RIMPs and KIMPs (actually favored toward RIMPs), but the largest gain for yourself is to invest solely in KIMPs. If everyone in the realm invests nothing into RIMPs then each KD will suffer more than if they invested equally. In order for someone to whore out their KD as an IMP whore, they have to be rather large. Usually realms do not have a designated IMP whore from the start (usually the land players that fail). Relic whores are true whores. They absolutely give up their round for the realm, but they also usually lack DMs and the IMP value of the realm suffers. Mage whores are just fun to play. With any of the whore-type of play, the realm loses a player that might be big enough to cover or suicide for a realmate. Now what you are suggesting is to allow players to get a direct boost from other players and give a massive penalty for any player that is willing to help others. Instead of rewarding teamplay, it rewards realms who put up 1 player for the win.

Two possibilities:
1) The player is giving up his only item. If you would pay 4M for boots of teleportation, than you must consider this player is giving up 4M worth of use out of an item AND you are suggesting the player gives up an additional 1M for the privilege of helping out a realmate.
2) The player is giving up his spare item. This player is extremely lucky. He only has to pay 1M for helping out a realmate.
Imagine you are playing exp: - You are nearly tied for first, the other guy is in a different realm - Someone else in your realm is playing for exp, and isn't too far behind - You have two boots of teleport, he has none Do you give him one (potentially costing you the win)? What if your realmate was playing for land and near the top?
In regards to my previous suggestion, I think it's too complicated. It would be much simpler if every item had both a buy and sell variable. This way you could have items that sell for 1 gold but would cost 100k to buy, other items could have the same buy and sell cost and would be meant to traded back and forth between players.

Why not just have two sales set ups... The first you can choose to add it to the realm store at no cost to you but no gain as well and if it doesn't sell in 48 hours it goes to the item auction house and goes up for sale. The starting bid is the items gold cost. You get to keep the proceeds from the auction. IF it doesn't sell at auction you get the normal sell item price.
Or you can send it directly to the auction house and only get 50% of the profits.
This way it encourages teamwork but doesn't hurt you to do so.
My logic is this...
On the first set up you get the boots of teleportation. They go into the realm store at, to borrow ebay's terminology, a buy it now price. IF it isn't sold by a set deadline. It will go to the bazaar to be sold the seller will be anonymous and there would be a random delay on any item or maybe items would be released in random batches so that It would be harder to coordinate friends to help you out over msn.(Not that anyone on here would ever do something like that.) Let's be honest there are maybe what 11 xpers that actually play?
How many boots are going to effectively sell? yes you may get the one sold but since xpers tend to get a ton of them I got 5 last round. It may mean that you can try and get a realm mate to spend a million gold on your boots the last week because he just got suicided by someone and knocked out of contention so he will do everything he can to help you win but what if two go up for sale in the same block. Do you bid on both? Besides that if you get a realm mate that is wiiling to do that isn't that kinda the point...Have a game where you are willing to help your friends do their best? This is a team game.
On a side note why isn't there a most experienced realm ranking like there is for strength and size?
