Topic.... Remove the fastest race for good and evil (dwarfs & gobbos) for the next 2 rounds.

Reason: To balance the other races it would be easier if we didn't have an overpowering fast race screwing with things. And It might be fun to play without them every now and then.

We would have 2 rounds with average races: The first would be a average length round (5-5.5 weeks) and the second would be a quick round (4-4.5 weeks). After 2 rounds of balancing we would reintroduce an ultra-fast race again. This will be done by a competition on the racial suggestion board (with gobbos, tera and dwarf being on the list aswell)

edit: Considering that holidays are coming up, the first round should be quick, and the second should be average length.

If gobbo and dwarf pwn on short rounds, and trolls pwn on long rounds, why not only do medium rounds?

Personally, I don't like 5 weeks rounds... I like better when round is either long or short....


I believe what Fergy is proposing is a type of controlled experiment here... I think what Fergy is proposing is a great idea,... and a much better way of potentially doing things than randomly introducing/replacing new races. And it would also give a better idea how races in similar category truly compare to each other.

If you remove the two fastest races amazons will just dominate early round instead. Remove them and it'll be vamps, humans, and zorbs. Then eles and shins. You'll never make early round balanced and keep diverse races.

true, but the dwarves has also been around for ages ... I think they are the oldest race in the game at the moment except for the humans.

Maybe it will do them good to retire one or two rounds before the come back?

Eh, as long as goblins are going too I don't mind I guess. But having the 2 fastest races both be evil is kind of unnerving.

i think it's pretty balanced, and i like dwarves & goblins (they suck later in the game)

im sorry but im going to have to disagree, i am a huge fan of dorfs and like playing them, we are playing a medium round at the moment and who is top?

medium rounds they are still strong if played right --- if they do suck in medium rounds then is he amazing or every1 else just crap?
