ok, I haven't really found any answeres yet. 1) do peasants produce gold as well as workers? 2) If so, is there difference in the amount produced?

"You collect 2.6 gold from every Peasant every hour from taxes, and 3.5 gold from every Worker every hour in production and taxes (Workers in training still pay the same amount as a Peasant in taxes each hour)."
nvm, found it =/

wow that is alot of farms... to be honest with you unless you are training units with your food, you arn't going to need more than 10% farms.
Next round I suggest you build gold mines in protection.. and once you leave protection never build another gold mine but instead build nothing but homes. After a while your gold mine % will be pretty low.. then take them out and turn them into more homes.

actually, slave pits seem to be much better than homes for money, especially if you can constantly declare war or the weaker realms. Lets say you have 400 land. Make a decent sized army and declare war on a relatively weak realm. Now raid all of those inactive people, and steal their money and peasants. This theory for money making seems to actually work better.

I have never tried using a slave based economy but it seems to require an awful lot of work
That and the fact slavepits dont home any peasents...

also, your farm to house ratio should be about 8 farms per every 100 houses. Other buildings(farms count as these too) count as .5 houses in the ratio and with improvements you might need a bit more farms..
