Neodymium , is there a reason you bought 3900 magic dust hour 1? I simmed Vamps a bit during the last simulation and there's no way I'd buy that much magic dust hour 1. A friend of mine is playing vamp and we worked out an oop strat for him and he ended up building the 20 towers and rest Gold mines like you, but he didn't buy nearly that much magic dust hour 1. Are you rezoning everything into mountains at hour 1? When do you take your land bonuses?

Other than that I'd agree with the other guys in investing spare resources whenever you can, making sure you have enough at hour 36 to build on your land bonus. I'd also say to not train many workers at all depending on what you want. My friend won't even build a full batch of workers and he'll train approx. 500-550 daywalkers. He'll also come out with a good amount of offense. I don't know the number of vamp bats he'll come out with, but when I was simming vamps I was coming out with easily more offense than you've been coming out with.

Looks like you have the basic ideas, just needs tweaking a little.

I understand why you would do this, but it makes more sense to wait to rezone until the hour you are going to build the buildings. If you wait to rezone, then you will keep your workers longer, thereby making yourself more gold.

General Vampire question:

So basically DW are used for defense while Vampire Lords are used for offense? or dhampires...?

dhampires seem pretty hard to use considering their difference in OPDP day and night...

But they're cheap as hell. There are all kind of vamp-strats out there but the most efficient one(ie:someone actually won using it) would be walkers for dp and dhamps for op.
Granted, the night/cycle isnt easy to get around, but thats why they have pretty cheap op.If you find trouble adapting, just go walkers for op/dp.I wouldnt recommend training more than 2k lords for a short round.Vamps arent the easiest race to go..

Daywalkers are indeed used for defense. As for offense, my understanding is that dhampires are used for offense. A dhampire has 6 offense during the night, and at 900 gold you're talking 150g/point of offense. A vamp lord has 8 during the night, and at 1525 gold you're talking 190g/point of offense. This doesn't include the defensive bonuses of either unit, but even with those added the dhampire is cheaper. The casualty rating of the vamp lord is lower, but only 10% lower. Part of the increased cost is due to the vampire spell, which from my understanding isn't really all that useful. I've simmed vampires a bit but I've never played vampires for a round so I don't have all of it down. My understanding though is that dhampires are what you use for offense and daywalkers for defense.

Oh wow. Ok. Though it does say there only 3k or so. So the majority of your offense would still be dhampires I'm assuming? I'm never actually played a round of vampire so my understanding is lacking a bit on them.

I played vampires 3rd round of this age and I can vouch that Vamp spell is one of the best spells in the game (Zorb spell is THE best no doubt)

But yea, majority of you offense should come from Dhampires.

And yeah, in a round this short Lords don't really have time to pay themselves off that well so I wouldn't train more than 2k of them max, unless you plan to hit alot to lower landsizes. And if you plan to train some, don't do them until you hit at least 1k land. Workers aren't that important early round due to not having a high population bonus. Going with cheaper op for bigger land gains is alot more effective.

I actually prefer Dhamps as def out the gates. But only Rain's picked up on my advice for that one in the past. You guys should follow suit.

Cuz Rain rox.

I did that too in one round as Mr. Starwars and followed by using dhamps as pure defense AND offense. Then your realm messed me over mid game by going early taverns.

yea screw you!
