i'm not sure if other people already do this, but i just had an amazing idea for terranoids.
I thought since terra firma allows 8 hour build time, and you start with no resources, on hour 1 you do nothing.
On hour 2 with your 4860 or whatever it is gold you buy magic dust, and cast terra firma for 1 hour then build all your buildings...
that gives 3 extra hours of income.
