Hey Philip - like I mentioned in the other thread, no it doesn't work that way. If you would really rather not participate in the draft, that's your call, but there is no point in calling yourself a captain at all at that point. Make your realm like normal and play.

I understand what you are saying, but I wanted to insure that the realm I am in would recieve the same consideraton as a draft realm; that is, I/we wanted to be granted the same leverge of amount of players as a draft round, and we got that from another administrator.

As far as calling myself a 'Captain', I am far from that.

I am sorry if a 'ticked' you somehow, but I truly don't recall ever conversing with you in this forum; but know, I am new at this and find the whole thing rather difficult to maneuver, so, please forgive my 'faux pas'.

As well, I have tried to delete the 'Captain' post as well as the other post: 'Draft Registration' and was unable to figure out how to do that; this is the reason I stated the facts in the forum, in the event any one was listening/ reading, so, they would undestand what was going on, rather than have something posted that was erroneous; for instance, that I was a draftee.

Having said all of this, please feel free to go into those threads and delete them.

Sorry, I am not Robespierre but you woke me up.

One of the purposes of those special considerations (more members and stuff like that) is to make the draft more interesting. You shouldn't get those if you don't enroll in the draft the classic way and i'm questionning the sanity of the admin who allowed that as it ruins the fun for those who devote hours organizing this.

Anyway, my take is that you should enter the draft anyway. This is a golden opportunity for everyone to learn the tricks of the old vets in here. That'll also help you guys to make friends in the community which always been more useful than you can think.

TL;DR : STFU and enroll in the draft.

Yea, this round is all about meeting new people. I understand there's some good players coming over from another game that's recently closed, but the best way for them to integrate is to let them mingle with current players. They always have the option to make a traditional realm. I mean really, what precedent are we setting here?

I suggest that each captain is allowed to rank the rest of the captain in sequence of most to least experience, with 5 being most and 1 being least experience. After all captains have ranked, the score of each captain will be summed up to an overall score. The captain with the lowest overall score will get to choose his draftee first. (Just like previuos draft round)

I sense a conspiracy against me!

I just realized I will not be so active starting from August 13, and I might even go on vacation. I don't want to leave my draftees unguided, so I either need a capable co-captain in advance (who can stand in for me when I am gone), or just not captain at all. I don't want to wait until the actual picking of draftees and discover that I won't be able to pick a good co-captain. It will leave me with a pack which I might not be able to guide for (big) parts of the round. In that case, we might be better off having someone else as captain and me as draftee.

Due to a busy life at the moment, nothing bad but lots of things that need my attention, I'm afraid I must withdraw from the draft as both a Captain and a player. I won't have the time to even play casually.

This kinda sucks as I had been looking forward to it but if I went ahead it'd be a disservice to my draft picks.

I'm also really sorry that I'm informing you all so late, I do hope you will find a replacement. I must also say thank you and sorry to those draftees whom messaged me. Please continue with the draft as ALL the other captains have probably a better read of the game than I and they'll teach you a lot, as well as meeting new people and having fun.
