Tinker Tailor #3

Obviously we are disappointed with r22 giving massive land to Dante, and for 9hrs no one want to suicide Dante.. :P

At least, we give our best shot for the win..

Congrats to all winners.. we will be back.

no1 gives massive land to any1 intentionally, so we dont really care how disappointed u are, + as heard in previous rounds exploring for the win is very lame :)

i was the fear #22, later known as santas little helper. after a massive OOP, i made some noobish mistakes, B pointed out to -dB (NZT-48) what i should have done, which made much more sense than what i did. after being hit by realm 6 i was thinking of deleting and taking a round off, real life was getting more interesting than elveron :P, #27 concreted my decision.

after a couple days of deletion i decided to help -dB by just being an imp whore/mage spy, only logging on when i was bored and had nothing better to do. doesnt help with 2 xp'ers who cudnt/wudnt imp, so i was maxed at 1mil whole round til last couple days :P

congrats to dante ftw, in regards to the deal being completed, my bank details are...

I'm not familiar with "meta-gaming", but based on all available info I take it to mean: Waiting and hoping to build up enough sui op to hit the guy who hit me, out of spite, even though nobody in my realm has a snowballs chance in hell of winning.
Synonym: Kingmaking

Is that about right?

Thanks for the land Adam. Remember the last message you sent us?

Sorry -dB, good luck next round.

Ring of Fire [#3]

Pushed Hiraishin for the win after I got hit by -db in 22 after a 95/75k send. Unfortunately that lead to him getting enough land to sit forever and ever and ever since his military and economy really did not reflect his land size. Then in the end pushing full units and no tavs ended up getting him screwed and r27 won.. yay!

I would like to give my thanks to r13, 32 and 17 for feeding the entire game except our realm. You are too kind.

Overall no exciting game play or strategic moves this round as everyone played safe as hell. I think the most exciting thing was r16 noob tav push who unfortunately decided that our gryphon would take the unlucky sui. I think the hit r22 took was also funny even if it meant our realm losing. It was just such a joke to see the 2 gryphons push within 4 hours of each other and 22 not only making a lame BF but bounced and then loses over 300 land.

Congratz Fat Land in r11 for playing a great game in a non competitive realm. I figured if I had not FB you for about 3 days you might have won with some luck like r27.
Congratz r34 who played the best with the crap luck you had getting targets. They were limited every time you pushed.

Congratz Dante and xp winner.

I actually have to argue that Elementals are a very strong race for xp. They make take longer in training but they never have a swing in defense since as they train they keep their dp. You need a smaller worker count to run them, you can coordinate your pushes around attack cycles, it has built in slave pits, and has the bonuses of their spell to give a wider range of available targets. just because they aren't used often enough, take longer to train the elites, and can't utilize the full 50 slaves per acre doesn't make that any less true.

Though I wouldn't mind seeing them go back to the old 5 slaves per acre. Hmmm after looking over the old guides that are still available i only see them going as high as 2 acres can anyone else remember it being 5 slaves per acre?

Oh yeah I was Sylar in 21. It was another round. I played xp and got hit a lot. didn't do so hot so i riddled a few key relic holders with cripples.

Well, tbh, I never calculated top OP the whole round till the final two days as I never had enough SS or Dust to calculate all the different realms so in reality I had no idea what was safe DP when I made that last push. And yes, I realised too late that I needed taverns and my raw military < their modded military.

That last bounce/hit was just pure bad luck as I explained in my PM (not to detract anything anyway from Dante's win). I injured my ruler hero two ticks before (thereby losing 6k mili), bounced the attack as the SoM I copied didn't go through for some reason, and then accidentally casted HC instead of MS meaning I wasted 108k dust and not then casting a long shield (got abrased).

And yeah that has got to be the first bounce I've had post OOP in many years =\

Also, Dante had 10k too much DP for me to sui CQ retal...

Congrats to Dante and XP winner, and thanks to my realmies for a unique round.

Didn't realise you noticed my economy lol.

I guess it's a lame way to end before taking a break but nothing can be done. Till next time.

LOL. Fun stuff. I did not see this happening as I was not actually playing this round so I cannot speak to the truth of it, but that's a fun post and I will assume it is true (cuz it sounds true to me and I want it to be true). :D

Thanks for making this lame thread worth reading, Valgard!

I was Hiro Nakamura in #21

I was doing pretty good but after I tried to overpop Berggorilla in #18
I never was able to get back to the top so in the end I was just trying to hit top xprs.

Hoping for a better round next round.

The Xp loses is a little high when you get up over 3K xp
