simlulation hourchange and magical free hourchange could be confusing for new comers...

maybe can change the label so that both are slightly different..

for example, the 'button' for simulation hourchange --> maybe can be renamed as 'Simulation', instead of 'Hourchange'.

I wish read this 7 days ago, this is hilarious haha! Tutu, you are possibly my favorite user as of right now. Successful troll is successful. (I hope you stuck around long enough to read this. ^_^)

Add me on MSN, I can send you some excel sheets if youd like. I do not have any up-to-date (or even near finished) simulators, but I have this sweet defensive/offensive/economy calculator that is totally not organized and difficult to understand unless you made it -- thing. Im sure youd love it. :P

EDIT: Im sure itd help if I posted my MSN. tccentralpride49@hotmail.com Dont e-mail me, I never read that e-mail.

This rewriting will make it more insightful to people, I think:

XP_gain(over 800) = 75 + 155365.2 / land - 25000 * ln(xp) / land

furthermore:
ln(800) = 6.67
ln(1100) = 7
ln(2000) = 7.6
ln(3000) = 8
ln(5000) = 8.52

So the ln(xp) term is pretty much constantly around 7.5. Bearing that in mind, the formula transforms to:

XP_gain(over 800) = 75 - 32000 / land

I don't know where opponent land comes into the equation, and whether the max of 50 applies to that as well, otherwise (and if you're always hitting at 100% land size) xp players should be aiming for about 1300 land for optimal xp gain, up to a max of 1400 at higher xp-levels).

EDIT:
ln(600) instead of ln(500) when over 1000 xp, so:
XP_gain(over 800) = 75 + 159923.2/ land - 25000 * ln(xp) / land
XP_gain(over 800) = 75 - 27500 / land

--> optimal land at 1100-1200.

Goblin Techies. How do they work?

Quote:
- Goblin Techies gain +1 defense for every 25% buildings on Mountains and Tundras (The increase is floating. For example, it can be 0.02 for each 0.5%, Buildings in construction are counted.)

MB: Mountain Buildings
TB: Tundra Buildings
MiB: Mountain Incoming Buildings
TiB: Tundra Incoming Buildings

4*(MB+MiB+TB+TiB)/(Total Land)

About the NW formula:

XP gains over 1000 are supposed to be given by:
75 + 25,000 * ln(600/xp) / land

Plugging in my values for xp and land to this formula, I was supposed to get 49.2 xp (w/o acad bonuses) from my last attack. I only got 34.2 xp, however (34.2 = total xp gain / (1 + 0.07 * Acad%) ). My opponent was only 103% of my size. Further, my ruler hero was above 50% health (not sure if this should matter).

Can someone explain to me what I appear to be missing here?

Academy Grassland Increases chance of gaining a hero in battle with 7 * Academy%. Increases XP gain in all battles won except quests by 3.5 * Academy%.

You used 7% for XP gain when it is 3.5%

This is not a formula. Are you trying to report a bug? It's not one but if you are there is a bugs forum

@ Nost Gam

Ah, silly me! Yes, it's much more accurate now! Just 1-2 points off now.

@ 080

It was a request for a clarification on a formula. Based on the chatter I saw in this thread, it didn't seem inappropriate to do so. Plus, I don't think it'd do any harm if someone wrote down the exact XP formula in a clear manner. As in:

Raw xp gain:
0-200 xp: 10
200-1000 xp: 0.06 * xp
1000+ xp: 75 + 25000 * ln(600/xp) / land

Total xp gain:
Raw xp gain * (1 + 0.035 * Acad % + other XP bonuses)
(other XP bonuses = ruler items/racial bonus/hero's sword relic)

And then also include how opponent land works into the formula - I have a hunch it's one needs to multiply raw xp gains with MIN(own land/opp land, opp land/own land). But I gladly leave that to someone who knows a lot about it. Izzi, for one, seems to know the exact formula (viewtopic.php?f=3&t=10282, see 'Session 2 transcript').

I do have it at home, but it's not mine. It's from alexandrelg. I don't think he'd mind (I assume) if I share it with you, though not sure.

Can you send me a PM in this forum so that when I get home, I see a new PM and remember about it? Otherwise I will forget. If you could also give me your e-mail, I can send it to you  Unless alexandrelg shows up and says I am not allowed to share it, then he must be quick tho

Yes, ofc I woudn't mind to share it but i doubt it would be usefull today.

I just answered a message and I will copy paste here:

"That's correct. I did the simulator but I do have some problems with it.

1- Since each race is different in elveron (costs, power, special builds etc) I have to modify my simulator for each race and it really takes some time.

2- I don't think it would be easy to understand since I did it for myself, some of my old realmates used it but the simulator is very much messy, sometimes I even use words and portuguese instead of english.

3- The last problem is that I don't play elveron for some time and I am not sure what formulas changed or not and my simulator is right now very obsolete.

Well, just saying it won't be usefull for you, but ofc, if you want it just to have an idea or for curiosity I woudn't care to send it to you."

Well, I'm probably about halfway done with my own so don't worry about it. :)

Like you said, the racial and building differences are a bit of a pain. I am currently making a template just for Human. I may create a unique workbook for each race. Once the first one is done the rest are pretty easy, except for races with unique training features.

The ultimate goal once everything is done is to input a log feature that will give you an overview of what you did every hour.
