Btw, how do we know what all there is in the city to pick from? Also are you gonna let us know when we go up in level and if we get to pick a new feat, etc.?

think of it this way. in the morning find the shops and buy a map.
or just say where you going like i do and fly blind.
as for EXP.
if this is strictly by the book the only way to get exp is to kill golins and stuff.
and do mini quest and things.
ro so i've read this may be differnt. hope so.

When you level up you will be told. You need to explore the city to know what's in it, fore when you are just looking around standing doing nothing not everything is right there in front of you. You get a new feat every three levels. Such as 3,6,9 etc. And every four levels you get to add one point to one of your stats.
I.E.
Stats
str: 16
dex: 18
Con: 15
Intel: 17
Wis: 13
Cha: 14
You add 1 point to either, str, dex, con, intel, wis, or cha. It is your choice on which to spend that one point on.
But yes I will let you know when you level up, and how many levels you go up.

Typical max is 18, it can be affected by racial abilities etc though
you'd roll 3d6 per stat then assign the numbers. I rolled 4 and dropped the lowest, thats the typical method.

no, thats version 3, or even 2, i believe.
version 3.5, which we are using, you assign points into the stats, so you decide how you want tour character to be (see the character creation in neverwinter nights)

Actually thats not how I do it at all. The much easier way is rolling 4 six sided dice and take out the highest three and add them up. Whatever they add up to is what you get. And yes 18 is the highest you can go. I use 3.5 and 3rd edition.

draconia calm down gees I was just answering a question basically. I have seen your character and approved it. I wasn't just talking about you I was talking about everyone. I am sorry but you are not the only person in this game. I was giving the max stat someone can have when they first start out as a level one, two and three. Beyond that it can go up. So....don't get your boxers in a bunch ok? You are fine.

soca, assigning stat points is one way to do it, but you're allowed to roll if you want. It's up to the DM
