Because phpDip doesn't support any variations, I thought we could have a friendly forum version going on here that I am willing to moderate.

Personally I would like to see a game of Milan or Fleet Rome going so Italy doesn't get COMPLETELY screwed off the bat, but I am willing to do other variations depending on how many players are interested. If you are interested in signing up with a friend, you guys can play as a team (but still one country assigned!).

Basic Rules:

* I will post the map at the end of every phase.
* 24 hours to submit moves to me via MSN or PM.
* Since I will be using an automatic adjudicator, moves must be submitted in correct format or they will be "misordered."

That's probably about it, I can expand the idea further if enough people are interested!

What happens during a forum Diplomacy game?

Well, the thread that we have is simply a place where the moderator posts the moves and the boards. The diplomacizing, you guys do by yourselves within a given time period, although extensions can be granted under certain circumstances. At the end of each phase, the moderator will update the board! Because phpDip doesn't support any variations on Diplomacy, I am offering to moderate at least this first game so you guys can get a taste of different maps or "fairer" standard maps.

Plus, other people who frequent these boards might get to see the game, and we'd have more Dip converts!
