Your point about Taverns is a fair one, but -50 percent cost is only 15 percent more than the -35 percent cost that Goblins get. Do you think that represents such a big advantage?

I might just make Taverns exempt from the general Ungol building discount. Thematically, it makes some sense, as they don't have a lot of money, and Taverns in most fantasy games are used to hire mercenaries/heroes :mrgreen:

I just realized this race is pretty weak because of the -15% max population.

They will need cheap tavern pushes to keep up with other races.

A race that has a very delicate balance in buildings, or is forced to actively shift their building composition, really interests me. Right now, only Animators have this feature. I was expecting some type of cool building uniqueness when I read these bonuses. Sadly, the buildings for this race are very cookie-cutter. There is nothing to compliment these bonuses.

I guess the idea of demoting troops from getting hit is unique, however, it's a huge disadvantage for this race, as-is. The returned gold from losing Crossbowman isn't enough to compensate for the demotion of Cataphracts. It's like telling all Ungols, "Hey, getting hit is bad, but if you get hit, its really bad!" That doesn't make for an attractive race feature.

I understand Gryphon inspired this race, but it is way too obvious. I'm not sure what you would have to do to separate the stigma of Gryphon from it. Keshik = Light Feather, Cataphract = Iron Talon, Nomad = Fledgeling, Taoist Master = Similar to Master Hunter and Noble Lord, Feast on Horse Flesh = Master Hunter ability, Homes everywhere = Homes everywhere... It's even sneakily obvious Sneak Attack was inspired by Aerial Evasion, though the two are different spells and would be used in completely separate scenarios. Both come with positives and negatives and each effect your return time.
