For many years a powerful necromancer was looking to instill the power of immortality into a corporeal object so that he would forever remain in power. Through his investigations he discovered it was in fact the soul itself which led to the death of man, and by placing ones soul into a gem you could extend your life indefinitely. Not only did this extend the user's life, it also made them impervious to any harm caused by normal weapons.
Those in possession of the Gem will find their armies much more resistant to the dangers posed on the battlefield. The user will experience 5% less casualties per day up to a max of 25% casualty reduction. The Gem is initially in the possession of an evil witch of terrible powers (2500).
