Cruncher Thai showed the Earthling how to use the earth to their full advantage, producing huge amounts of diamonds from it, in times of war and pestilence, so that even during the great Battle of All Giantkin, when the Giants layed siege to the Earthling for months on end, they survived, and even prospered, by sending spies out under cover of darkness, carrying precious diamonds to trade for information, and aid, eventually breaking the will of the Giants and staking out the Earthling's place on Elveron.
