Lord William had 1099 experience last time he
visited the bazaar. He usually stays in the service of a ruler for 7
days.
Lord William is currently not in the service of anyone.
A long time ago Lord William and his duergar were the owner of a large gold mine. It was a very profitable mine. The Lord got a large fortune and was the richest duergar who ever lived on earth. But his greed was infinite, his fortune was never enough. He still wanted to get more and more gold and diamonds. Very soon the miners did not find any more gold.
But Lord William was prepared for that day. He recruited a large army of Spider riders and began to raid the surrounding countryside. His army stole everything they could get and they enslaved everyone they could catch. Now he was the richest and most hated duergar...
But several years later a great alliance leaded by Elves defeated his army, killed every spider and threw Lord William into his own mine and closed the large entry. They hoped that he would never return.
Fortunately for Lord William there existed another hardly known passage to the FlameWeavers. Years ago he had called it bad luck that his miners opened that path because the flameweaver had killed nearly everyone working in that section.
He found the way unsealed but guarded. It took a big part of his gold that was hidden everywhere in the mine he was able to persuade the flameweaver not only to let him free but also to teach him the immortality of the phoenix
Now he returns to become the richest duergar again and to fight his "Forever War" against those who killed his army.
But for the next time he will fight for everyone who pays enough...
