Inside these halls you will find books that have seen the rise and fall of kingdoms,
and outlived races that once walked this world. Chronicled in these tomes are the lives
of rulers great and terrible alike, as well as the stories of those upon whose backs
their kingdoms were built, stone by stone. You will find spell books containing long
forgotten enchantments and forbidden rites. Journals reside on these shelves,
containing the locations of powerful relics and rumors about the legendary
beasts of the realms.
But you, you look like one who has come to read of battles,
battles that have made the great kingdoms of this world the shining lights that
they are against the darkness of the wilds; Battles that have forged the great
heroes of your day as well as those that no longer walk this land;
Battles that crushed entire civilizations and lead to the enslavement of the
innocent.
But forgive the ramblings of an old man, you are young and likely
wish to be out making your name known to the world, not wasting your time in
some dusty old library. So seek your knowledge, and perhaps learn from the
mistakes and successes of old.
